About Centrelink Rates
What Is This Site?
Centrelink Rates is an independent, unofficial guide to Centrelink payment rates in Australia. Our goal is to make it easy for Australians to find current payment rates, understand eligibility requirements, and know when their next payment date is — all in one place, without having to navigate complex government websites.
This site is not affiliated with Services Australia, the Department of Social Services, or the Australian Government in any way.
How We Source Our Data
All payment rates on this site are sourced from official Australian Government publications, primarily:
- Services Australia — the official Centrelink website
- Department of Social Services (DSS) — Guide to Australian Government Payments
We cross-reference these sources at each indexation to ensure accuracy.
How Often Do We Update?
Most Centrelink payments are indexed twice a year — on 20 March and 20 September — based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Male Total Average Weekly Earnings (MTAWE). We update our rates at each indexation.
The current rates on this site reflect the 20 March 2026 indexation. The next update is scheduled for 20 September 2026.
Youth Allowance and some student payments are indexed separately on 1 January each year.
